On 20th. December of 1994, with the aim of coloring and reinvigorating the very essence of time, the fashion house “Rang” began it’s colorful journey. The aim was to enhance and promote local heritage and culture. The name itself was chosen because of it’s auspicious association with the concept of art and for the feeling of sheer delight it manages to evoke. The dream of 4 young friends realized in a mere shop of (10ft. X 10ft.) of Shantana market at Chashara, Naryanganj. The helm bearer and the dream maker of Rang now are Biplob Saha and Soumik Das. Rang has 12 showrooms, 9 in Dhaka, 1 in Chittagong, 1 in Sylhet and 1 in Naryanganj.

17 years back, a journey started with an initiative to fill a dream with colours. Today, because of the hard work of everyone, along with prayers and well wishes, that dream has turned into what is now known as Rang, known for its variety and rhythm of colours.

Rang’s Boishakhi collection this year is heavily influenced by the artworks of Sukumar Pal. The exhibition titled ‘Boishakher Rang’ successfuly held on 31 March 2012. Sukumar Pal inaugurated the exhibition at the boutique’s Shimanto Square (Rifles Square) outlet. The event will run till Pohela Boishakh 1419, 14 April 2012.
